campers hiking on nature trail

We've got a campers paradise at our fingertips here at Borealis Adventure Camp, so if you’ve got an adventurous spirit with a penchant for leadership, positivity and safety, we’d love to hear from you about becoming a Program Facilitator for the summer of 2024!

Program Facilitators, commonly referred to as Counsellors at other camps, develop the closest relationships with our campers through their leadership of individual cabin groups and program sessions. With planning support from the Camp Director and Assistant Camp Director, Program Facilitators are responsible for planning and leading camp programming in areas of skill, knowledge and/or desire to learn, as well as supporting specialty program directors (Waterfront & Tripping) in program delivery.

As a Program Facilitator, you will be connected to a cabin group most of your time at camp, helping them through the daily tasks related to being at camp, including personal hygiene. You may be asked to sleep in the same cabin as your campers, or at times be an outside support to a cabin group.

We operate on a Camper’s Choice programming model, where campers choose what activity they will do during each session block, so that they get what they want out of the camp experience. Session options are guided based on staff and camper input to be sure we’re always offering the most relevant programming related to the weather and camper preferences.
