THe story of borealis

When creating Borealis Adventure Camp, our Founder & Director, Jory Elliott, aimed to create an environment of positivity and health, in the spirit of providing increased opportunities for kids to connect with themselves, other kids, strong role models, and the outdoors.

Every detail of the Borealis A.C. experience has been carefully crafted with great intention and thoughtfulness, from its campers choice programming model, to the inclusion of local food producers into its health focused menu offerings.

That intention and thoughtfulness even shines through in the camps unique name. Commonly believed to be derived from Greek dialect, the word Borealis is well-known for its use in the naming of the Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, an incredible natural phenomenon that lights up the night sky and is best experienced amongst nature.

And just as catching a glimpse of the Aurora Borealis is a magical experience that fills us with wonder, so to is time spent at Borealis Adventure Camp for campers and staff each year.
